01. A Bump on Nasal Bridge

A humped bridge consists of nasal bones and cartilages. We can correct an humped nose by cutting humped nasal bones and cartilages. If humped nasal bones or cartilages are excessively removed. It is important to cut the prominent part precisely by well-experienced, skilled medical professionals and board certified plastic surgery specialists.

02. The Open Roof of the Nose

Since the nasal bones are extremely thin, the roof of the nose may look empty after prominent nasal bones and cartilages are removed. If it is unnoticeable, it may be left as it is. However, if the open roof may wide or noticeable, it needs to be corrected precisely to avoid an awkward nose shape.

1. Nasal Bridge Augmentation:

  • Silicone or Gore-Tex
  • Making a beautiful and smooth nose by covering the open roof

2. Nasal Osteotomy

  • Cutting both sides of nasal bones vertically
  • Making the roof of the nose smooth

3. If the patient does not want augmentation rhinoplasty nor nasal osteotomy

  • Making a smooth nose by inserting an autologous nasal septum cartilage into the roof of the nose

03. A Droopy Tip Correction
Nose tip correction is a procedure to lift the nose tip through re positioning of alar cartilages.
In order to prevent the nose tip from drooping over time, a support will be inserted into the nasal bridge or a pulling muscle will be pulled and may need of shortening the muscle. (Generally, autologous nasal septum cartilages are used as a support.)droopy tip correction (septal cartilage graft, alar cartilage) 1

04. Low Nose Tip

A droopy angle between the nasal bridge and philtrum (nasolabial angle) is generally corrected through nose tip augmentation. Considering the patient’s conditions, an autologous cartilage may be added for better results.

A deviated nose and nasal septum deviation

In case of congenital nasal septum deviation or asymmetrical bones or cartilages bent by external injuries, a deviated nose should be corrected for both aesthetic reasons and functional improvement such as breathing discomfort

Nasal obstruction

Inferior turbinate hypertrophy may cause nasal obstruction. Rhinoplasty can help treat nasal obstruction.

Various forms and sizes of septal nasal cartilages

When using septal nasal cartilages for rhinoplasty, we analyze the sizes and shapes of septal nasal cartilages accurately for precise surgical planning.

The size of nasal bone

After analyzing the size and shape of nasal bones, nasal osteotomy may be performed during rhinoplasty, if their size needs to be corrected.

* A 3D-CT analysis may not be required depending on your physician’s opinion.
